Playa Sámara is a hidden gem on the shores of the Pacific Coast of Guanacaste. This lively and picturesque town is framed by stunning natural beauty and plenty of small coves, beaches, waterfalls, rivers and reserves to visit and explore. Known for being the ideal spot for beginner surfing lessons, and surrounded by more challenging breaks at nearby beaches. Sámara is also home to a growing holistic community of both expats and locals, with a different take on tourism that sets it apart from the rest of the tourist destinations in the region. 

It seems impossible not to fall in love with this town once you have experienced the diverse food and drink choices, exciting tours and activities, heart-warming community projects, the weekly farmer's market, or the wide array of massage and alternative therapy practices.

Conveniently located right on the corner of Route 160 (Sámara-Carrillo) and Park Street (Calle el Parque), Residencias Sámara is walking distance from everything you will need during your stay. Bars, restaurants, cafes, tour operators, vehicle rentals, grocers, supermarkets, bakeries, post office, farmer's market, local park, and of course, Sámara Beach, are all within a three block radius from your front door.

Paved roads and highways connect to both international airports, so all-wheel drive is not necessary, but definitely more fun, especially if you are planning on driving around and wish to explore all possible destinations. Private transportation is also available to and from all major destinations in the country upon request with our front desk staff.
